Job Description

Our Pipeline Integrity Field services team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Sugar Grove, OH or Washington, PA to support pipeline integrity assessment and repairs group. We are seeking a motivated Pipeline Integrity Engineer who has knowledge and experience in fitness for service evaluations, repair determinations and pipeline operations. This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to ensure pipeline repairs decisions are made using prudent engineering practices and to provide engineering support for various pipeline integrity functions. Responsibilities include supporting and driving a strong safety culture, providing decisions for pipeline repairs (RSTRENG, dent strain analysis, sleeves, leak repairs, composite reinforcements), supporting Operations and US Regulatory personnel with State PUC & PHMSA audits (49 CFR 192), developing regional scopes of work aligned with strategic Capex initiatives, collaborating with Project Teams during review of Front End Engineering and Design(FEED), maintaining assigned policy, plan, and procedures with current industry standards, engaging with industry affiliates and being knowledgeable of current/changing regulations and internal operating procedures, participating in industry events (PRCI, INGAA, SGA), providing expertise, technical support, and training in technical areas such as Pipeline Assessment, Equipment Maintenance, Failure Investigation, Risk Management, Pipe Design, Pipeline Construction and Pipeline Operations and Maintenance, working with internal stakeholders to ensure activities are completed to maintain the integrity and compliant operation of system assets, and performing Engineering Assessments for increasing pipeline pressures, operational changes, assessing pipeline reliability and for developing strategies to mitigate threats to pipeline integrity. Minimum qualifications include 4 years of relevant experience, a degree in relevant engineering major or related major with commensurate relevant industry experience, exposure to applicable industry codes and standards (CFR 192, ASME B31.8 etc.), working knowledge and exposure to various inspection technologies used in pipeline integrity assessments, proven experience conducting direct assessment of pipeline defects in excavations, extensive background making critical repair decisions based on in-ditch findings including utilizing non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies results, and advanced knowledge of pipeline repair methodologies. Preferred qualifications include PE or EIT. The position requires demonstrated ability to succeed in a changing environment with sound decision making, judgment and independent action, proven analytical and critical thinking skills, proven team player with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, proven interpersonal and communication skills, ability to initiate change and help others adapt, ability to create and sustain critical partnerships, ability to work independently, ability to manage team members in remote locations, current valid authorization to travel internationally, successful completion of pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing, valid driver's license and driver's abstract, travel to other company locations for temporary assignments (up to 25% of work schedule), participation in on-call rotation and emergency support, and successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
