ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia.

\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 13-week assignment working 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
\n• Work on 25-bed Medical Unit specializing in care of acutely and chronically ill adults with complex medical diagnoses
\n• Current patient ratios 1:5 for PCU (goal is 1:4)
\n• Float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS
\n• EPIC experience required
\n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
\n• Work with Internal Medicine Physicians and Residents in teaching unit environment
\n• Manage patients with telemetry monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drips
\n• Handle special equipment including chest tubes, PICC lines, trach care, and various oxygen modes (CPAP, BiPAP)
\n• Unit has 2 vent-capable beds for chronic trach patients
\n• May work without CNA support at times
\n• 32 hours of orientation provided
\n• Required to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
