Job Description & RequirementsOne of our Partners is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 13-week outpatient assignment from December 8, 2025 to March 7, 2026 . The provider will support a high-volume wound care clinic performing advanced procedures including sharp debridement, biopsies, biologic graft applications, and total contact casting.
\n\nThis assignment ranks in the Top 10% of 2025 market compensation for outpatient Wound Care NP locum roles, offering strong earning potential based on a consistent four-day-per-week schedule.
\n\n\n\n\n Assignment Highlights \n\n
Coverage Dates: 12/08/2025 – 03/07/2026 (13 weeks)
\n\t\n\tSchedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
\n\t\n\tDaily Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
\n\t\n\tOrientation: 4 hours (non-billable)
\n\t\n\tSetting: Outpatient Wound Care Clinic
\n\t\n\tDaily Census: Up to 20 patients/day (20-minute appointment slots)
\n\t\n\tPatient Population: All ages, neonates to geriatrics
\n\t\n\tProcedures Required:
\n\n\tSharp debridement
\n\t\t\n\t\tBiopsies
\n\t\t\n\t\tBiologic skin graft applications
\n\t\t\n\t\tTotal contact casts
\n\t\t\n\tSupport Staff: MD + wound-care specialty team
\n\t\n\tEMR: EPIC
\n\t\n\tTravel: Prepaid
\n\t\n\tMalpractice: Provided
\n\t\nBoard-Certified Nurse Practitioner
\n\t\n\tWound Care Certification required
\n\t\n\tStrong background in debridement, grafting, and casting
\n\t\n\tExperience in outpatient wound care settings
\n\t\n\tEPIC experience preferred
\n\t\nPerform full-scope wound care assessments and treatments
\n\t\n\tConduct sharp debridement, biopsies, and graft placement
\n\t\n\tApply and manage total contact casts
\n\t\n\tManage chronic and complex wounds across all age groups
\n\t\n\tCoordinate care with physicians and wound-care specialists
\n\t\n\tDocument all encounters and orders in EPIC
\n\t\n\tProvide education to patients and caregivers on wound management and prevention
