Job Description & RequirementsA high-volume outpatient surgical oncology program in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a 4-month locum tenens assignment . This role offers a Monday–Friday, flexible daytime schedule with no call , working alongside a strong team of surgeons and APPs.
\n\nThis coverage supports the program during a staffing transition period, following the resignation of two APPs. Clinicians will enjoy a structured, team-based outpatient setting with full support.
\n\nEstimated Total Earnings Over Contract: ~$90,000
\n\t\n\tPay Ranking: Top 12% nationally for surgical oncology APP locums
\n\t\nSchedule: Monday – Friday, flexible daytime hours
\n\t\n\tCall: None
\n\t\n\tSetting: Outpatient clinic (Hope Tower Neptune)
\n\t\n\tTeam Structure: 2 attending physicians + 1–2 APPs on site daily
\n\t\n\tSupport: Full clinical and administrative support team
\n\t\n\tTelehealth: Not required
\n\t\n\tFacility Type: Academic medical center
\n\t\n\tTravel: Prepaid
\n\t\n\tMalpractice: Covered by HPA Healthcare

\n\t\nPrevious outpatient surgical oncology or surgical specialty experience preferred
\n\t\n\tComfort managing post-operative follow-up, clinic visits, and patient education
\n\t\n\tStrong teamwork and communication skills in a multi-provider environment
\n\t\n\tEMR proficiency required
\n\t\nConduct surgical oncology clinic visits, follow-ups, and pre-/post-operative care
\n\t\n\tCollaborate closely with surgical attending physicians and other APPs
\n\t\n\tSupport patient education, care coordination, and treatment planning
\n\t\n\tContribute to efficient clinic flow and patient access
