The intern will assist with various tasks related to network infrastructure, A/V capabilities, documentation, and IT equipment management. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Assess and document the network infrastructure for the New York corporate office. The intern will evaluate the current network setup, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. They will create detailed documentation of the network topology, identify any potential issues or areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimizing network performance and security. Evaluate conference room A/V capabilities, document findings, and make recommendations for improvement. The intern will assess the audio-visual equipment in conference rooms, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems. They will document the current state of the equipment, identify any deficiencies or areas for enhancement, and suggest upgrades or changes to improve the overall A/V experience. Document and audit network equipment and configurations across property sites. The intern will conduct an inventory of network equipment at various property sites, ensuring that all devices are accounted for and properly configured. They will create and maintain accurate records of equipment locations, configurations, and firmware versions, and perform audits to ensure compliance with company standards and policies. Centralize end-user and support documentation on the company intranet and design and update the technology group’s internal website. The intern will gather and organize existing documentation related to end-user support, IT policies, and procedures. They will centralize this information on the company intranet, making it easily accessible to employees. Additionally, they will design and update the technology group’s internal website to ensure it is user-friendly and contains up-to-date information. Aid in the deployment, upgrade, inventory, and troubleshooting of the organization’s IT equipment. The intern will assist with the deployment and upgrade of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and mobile devices. They will help maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide support to end-users as needed. Requirements: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with network infrastructure, A/V systems, and IT systems and equipment.
