The purpose of this position is to provide electrical maintenance support for manufacturing operations and facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing electrical/controls support to facilities equipment, performing troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, calibrating and troubleshooting digital and analog instrumentation, and providing technical assistance to project teams.
Required knowledge/skills/abilities include being a certified or licensed electrician with a strong electrical background, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, block diagrams, piping diagrams, ladder logic, schematic diagrams, electrical power distribution diagrams, P&ID, loop sheets, and motor elementary drawings. Successful completion of plant electrical assessment process and some familiarity with Dashboard, PI, or SPC are also required. The candidate must be willing to work alternating shifts, including nights/weekends/holidays. Required education/experience includes a high school or GED, a two-year electrical or electronics degree with a minimum of two years of electrical industrial experience, electrical license and/or electrical certifications, and 2-5 years of electrical experience.
Preferred knowledge/skills/abilities include experience with computer/PLC controls, HMI, and associated components, experience with industrial systems such as air compressors, chillers, vacuum systems (operation or troubleshooting), root cause analysis techniques, and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others and participate in teams. Electrical contractor's license, NFPA70e electrical safety certified, and experience with wire pulling/conduit bending are also desirable.
Working conditions include exposure to fumes, noise, oil, dirt, heat, and cold temperatures. The candidate must be able to exert a force of 36 to 100 pounds and lift 5 to 50 pounds. Ability to use ladders and work at heights above 6 feet is also required.
The range for this position is $24.50 hourly rate - $30.75 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
