About the Role
As a key member of our team, youll handle a mix of *commercial/business litigation, estate litigation, and estate administration* matters, while also providing proactive counsel on business transactions. Youll manage your own caseload with support from experienced colleagues and staff, and have direct access to clients, courts, and decision-makers.
Typical Matters
* *Will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary litigation*
* *Probate and estate administration (filings, accountings, distributions)*
* *Trust and Estate Planning Transactional Matters*
* Breach of contract disputes
* Partnership and shareholder disagreements
* Commercial and residential real estate litigation
* Business tort claims and commercial collections
* Corporate formations and business entity structuring
* Contract drafting and negotiation
* Asset purchase agreements and business sales
Key Responsibilities
* Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations
* Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and contracts
* Provide strategic, practical advice to business owners and families on risk management and dispute resolution
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships
* Handle all phases of estate administration, including probate filings, asset distribution, and client communication
* Negotiate settlements and business deals
* Collaborate with clients CPAs, lenders, and financial professionals
* Contribute to firm growth and process improvements
What Were Looking For
* Kentucky-licensed attorney in good standing
* 3+ years of experience in business/commercial litigation, estate litigation, or estate administration (more is great!)
* Confident communicator and problem solver
* Comfortable working independently with strong organizational skills
* Proactive, practical, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines
* Tech-friendly and eager to learn new tools
* Positive attitude, team player, and community-minded
